This historic Grade II listed house overlooking the Thames at Twickenham had previously been occupied as two residential units with a third in the former coach house.
This unusual property also enjoys an enviable private riverside garden with pontoon mooring. Working closely with Interior designer Emma Sims Hilditch, GHK Architects have sensitively restored the house as a single private residence with every modern convenience.
Removal of the service stair and rationalisation of floor levels allowed the layout of the house to be modified to suit modern lifestyles. A large conservatory was added to the kitchen to provide a family dining area opening onto the walled garden.
GHK were at the helm of a huge renovation project of a graded house which involved complex planning and consents - this required expertise and empathy for the refurbishment of a significant family home.
